JSTSE Syllabus/ Exam Pattern 2019:

Every year, Science Branch of Directorate of Education, Delhi organize the Junior Science Talent Science Examination in month of January which is know as JSTSE in short. Huge number of students participate in this science stream talent examination and perform according their ability. Every Year, JSTSE conducted in the many Govt, Navodaya, NDMC, KVS and Private Schools of Delhi. Main purpose of this test is to find the students with an excellent understanding of science.

JSTSE (Junior Science Talent Search Examination) is the competitive examination for students of Class 9TH Standards. JSTSE is conducted for scholarships tests. 150 scholarships is awarded to students who gain good grading in the examination. JSTSE is held every year in month of January by Delhi Educational Board. Any students can participate in JSTSE if they are studying in Government recognized School. Below we have discussed the examination pattern and syllabus for JSTSE. Students can have a look and prepare for JSTSE.

  • Physics: Unit and Dimension, Motion, Circular Motion, Motion under Gravity, Forces, Laws of motions, Work, Power and Energy, Wave motion and Sound, Electricity, Universe, Magnetism, Heat, Fluid and Light, wavelengths of various lights, mirrors (convex, concave and plain), refraction, oscillation (Pendulum, spring mass system) etc.
  • Chemistry: Metal and non metals, Carbon and its compound, Environment  Chemistry, Polymer, Atoms and Molecule, Nuclear Chemistry, Acid and Base, matter, Empirical and molecular formulae, general names of chemicals, covalent bonding, indicators, fuels and calorific value, Polymers and their uses, etc
  • Biology: Diversity in Living Organisms, Improvement in Food Resources, Natural Resources, Reproduction System, Transportation, Cells, Why do we fall ill, Tissues, Skeleton, Heredity and evolution, control and co-ordination, Climate, Ecological biology, evolution, physiology, etc

Level of Questions in Science and Mathematics subject is upto 8th-9th Standard. Questions will be asked from NCERT Book based syllabus upto 8th standard. Polynomials and Real number system is important topics in mathematics. JSTSE Physics Important Topics: wavelengths of various lights, mirrors (convex, concave and plain), refraction, oscillation (Pendulum, spring mass system) and JSTSE Chemistry Important Topics: Climate, Ecological biology, evolution, physiology, etc. Refer the NCERT Book to get complete syllabus for JSTSE Exam 2019.
